Tips for using logic family parts
- To ensure that an input voltage to a digital IC is recognised as a binary value, it must meet the maximum voltage (for '0'
input) or the minimum voltage (for '1' output).
- The Output slope parameter determines how rapidly the voltage drops on an output as the current load increases. Since it measures
a voltage change with current, it has units of ohms.
- To ensure that logic levels are preserved, design the circuits so that the current sourced or sunk by an output does not exceed
the output current, otherwise the voltage drop may take the voltage level into the undefined range.
- To display logic signals rather than bar voltmeters on the gate, check the Show logic signals option in the Scene properties (Electronics).
